Redwoods
Global Missions
Glorify God by loving and caring for people.
Our Mission
Redwoods Global Missions exists to glorify God by loving and caring for people. We share the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost, encourage the saints, and come alongside the broken and suffering so that they do not have to suffer alone.
Philippians 2:3-4 NASB1995
Samantha and Hope DeGuzman have served in Ukraine since 2013 as full time missionaries. During this time they have worked specifically with orphans, women in crisis pregnancies, and families of fallen soldiers. As they reflect on their years in Ukraine, the heart of their ministry has been for girls and women in crisis.
They have served under Operation Mobilization as well as Mission to Ukraine and are excited about Redwood Global Missions, a 501(c)(3) to continue and expand their ministry.
Why “Redwoods”
Our goal and desire is to create and build families that live life together, build each other up in Christ, and prosper as we “one another one another”.
Life in Ukraine
Please take the time to watch this video we created as it will give you a much better visual of what is happening in Ukraine.
Our Work In Ukraine
Since the full scale war started in 2013, we have been heavily involved in humanitarian aid relief efforts. We receive aid from international and local sources and distribute it to people most heavily affected by the war. We personally deliver to a city called Kherson, it is only miles away from the front lines.
The past year, we have switched our focus to not only meet material needs, but also to meet spiritual needs. We are working alongside of Noah’s Ark Missions and have helped with camps for family members of fallen soldiers and women’s retreats.
We have also helped with projects for soldiers, wounded soldiers, chaplains, refugees, and their families. All of our outreaches and ministries are of course done for one purpose, to show Christs love and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We pray and hope this war ends soon. Unfortunately, even when it does end, there will be a lot of work to do. In the meantime, God is working through these unimaginably difficult circumstances and our role is to love and care for hurting people in the midst of it.
Prayer requests:
Redwoods Global Missions
Redwoods Global Missions is still in the beginning stages. We would appreciate your prayers as we develop and grow this ministry. We have many hopes and dreams for Redwood’s, ultimately pray for God’s guidance as we desire to glorify Him every step of the way.
Christmas Project
Since 2023, we have partnered with Noah’s Ark Ukraine Missions in organizing a Christmas festival. This December, we will yet again have the opportunity to serve groups of people that are hurting over 4 consecutive days; Wives, moms, kids, and other family members of fallen soldiers, wounded soldiers, recently released POW’s, refugees, and others that have been heavily affected by the war. Please pray that God’s name would be boldly proclaimed and glorified during this outreach. Pray for the hearts of those attending to be ready to receive the Gospel and that they’d find hope and comfort in Jesus Christ.
Winter in Ukraine
Since the full scale war started in 2022, winter in Ukraine has been especially difficult. Critical infrastructure is being heavily targeted causing many blackouts and therefore, problems with heating and electricity. Pray for us and the people of Ukraine; winters in Ukraine are very cold with very little daylight.
